Dara Samui Beach Resort

Dara Samui Beach Resort

We stayed at this hotel for a week in May 2010. It is a very nice place with very friendly staff and is located right on the beach. The hotel, in general, is older than is presented on their web site, however, it is kept up well, and is definitely one of the newer hotels on the island. It has a great location being central to the Chaweng beach area, which is the most active on the island as far as shopping, restaurants, and night life is concerned. The actual beach area is clean with a shallow enclave of ocean water. If you desire more wave action, you can stroll down the beach to a more open beach area.
A much more relaxed atmosphere is present on this island, however, all the party spots and needs are easily found.
Travelers looking for some fun with Thai girls won’t be disappointed as there are plenty of Beer Bars on some off-shoot streets from the main ocean street.
Prices for food and shopping seem to be more inline with the main land prices. I expected the prices to be higher due to the island location, but learned this was not true.
A week on this island is plenty of time to see everything.  Here is a link to their website –> Dara Samui Beach Resort.
