These are my favorite hotels to stay at in the Pattaya area. Any of them will serve you well and the prices vary among them so you can choose what budget you want to spend.
I recently returned from a trip to Thailand, and while we were in Pattaya, we stayed at a fairly new hotel called August Suites. Here is the link to their web site –> August Suites.
The hotel has been open for just a year, so everything is new and in great condition. The staff is very friendly and they work very hard to take care of their customers. The room was very clean, quiet, and nicely furnished. FREE WIFI internet in all the rooms, lobby, and restaurant areas. The pool was also very nice.
You will probably get a better rate than what is posted on their web site if you call them. The hotel does not charge a joiner fee as long as you do not exceed the number of people the room is rated to accommodate.
The location at 2nd road and Center street is very central to Pattaya. Taxis are easy to get, and many places are within walking distance, including the beach, and the new Central Shopping center.
I have stayed at many hotels in Pattaya, and this was the nicest experience I have had so far, I will stay here again.
Avalon Beach Resort
We stayed in a Garden room which has direct access to the pool area from the room. This was nice since it also made it easy to get to the beach. The breakfast buffet is very nice, the best I’ve had in Pattaya. The hotel staff were very polite and the entire place was very clean. Wireless internet access is available throughout the resort area – for an additional fee!! This hotel is not a good choice if you are planning to bring bar girls back to your room as they do charge a joiner fee.
The rooms were decorated with an upscale Thai decor and were very comfortable and well equipped. Here is a link to their website –> Avalon Beach Resort.
In November, 2010, we stayed for a week at the Chateau Dale Boutique hotel. We were delightfully surprised about this place as it is hidden from the larger Chateau Dale apartment and residence complex. We discovered it after eating dinner at Gian’s Ristorante. We left the restaurant looking for the bathrooms, and immediately behind Gian’s, in the same building, it this boutique hotel. We walked around and we were impressed with the private and quaint nature of the property. We were leaving the following day for a trip to Isan, but made reservations to stay there when we returned.
We stayed in a very nice and reasonably priced Junior Suite. This room has very spacious living room, separate bedroom, large bathroom, and a kitchenette area equipped with dishes and a coffee maker. The room was very clean, and the pool was immediately outside our door. Plus, they have FREE WIFI internet in the rooms and pool area. The staff were very friendly and willing to please the guests.
The location of the hotel is good with a few very nice restaurants surrounding it, only a few minutes to the beach, and located on Thappraya road half way between Pattaya and Jomtien. The 10 baht truck taxis are right in front of the building for a easy trip to the beaches in Jomtien, or the shopping and nightlife in Pattaya.
The room we stayed in was very nicely decorated and furnished, even the bedroom had a real wood floor. Here is a link to their website –> Chateau Dale
Sabai Lodge / Sabai Resort
The Sabai Group offers several hotel options, Sabai Lodge, Sabai Resort, and Sabai Empress. Here is a link to their web site –> Sabai Group.
I have stayed at the Sabai Lodge and the Sabai Resort. The Sabai Empress is very new and is located only a few meters from the other hotels. The Sabai Lodge is a nice and medium priced place to stay. The accommodations are clean and well kept. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All three hotels are located on Second road across the street from the Big C shopping center. And they are located immediately adjacent to the best Body Massage places in town where you can get a delightful soapy massage from a very accommodating young lady.
The Sabai Lodge and Empress have FREE WIFI internet in all the rooms, pool and lobby; and the Sabai Resort has it only in their lobby area.
The Sabai Resort is a much larger facility with a variety of rooms and pool areas. This location is also very nicely decorated and well appointed.
All of these hotels are in a good location as far as access to the beach, shopping, restaurants, bars, Thai girls, etc. No joiner fees are charged, but they discourage bringing more than one girl at a time to your room.
